UI Workshop – £99

Whilst UX gets a lot of attention, even the best wireframes and customer journeys would be ineffective without a well designed user interface.

Our UI workshop takes you step by step through the basics. We’ll show you how to master Sketch, how to design responsively for android and Apple devices and how to design from wireframes.

Questions

Our courses are geared toward beginners with no prior knowledge of either ui or ux design.  Inevitably, our courses attract students with a wide variety of career backgrounds.

As much time as you can. Certainly a minimum of 1 hour a day and it must be every day so you hit that hockey stick curve of learning and understanding. If you can commit to two or three hours per day, you’ll be flying in no time.

If you need to reschedule, email michael@youandi.london and together you can work out alternate dates.

Questions

There are plenty to choose from. However the industry standard is SKETCH for UI/UX. It’s very light to use (memory wise), costs less than £100.00 to buy (not rent/subscribe..) and is beautifully intuitive. You’ll be up and running in no time.

Three to four months if you’re out of work and you can commit to 6-8 hours a day. If you are at work, then you’ll need to commit 1 to 2 hours per day. Again, how fast you move towards becoming a UI designer is completely down to how many hours you can commit.

No one can know for sure. But one thing that is certain; we’ll need more and more user interfaces, apps, web experiences and user experiences as we progress into a digital future. Just imagine 5/10 years from now, every surface from coffee shop tables, to wearables, to the walls in your home, kitchen appliances, cars, everything you interact with will need a digital interface. Someone needs to do that and more work = more demand = you 🙂

Michael Ruocco - Head of UI

"If you want to know how to become a UI designer, turn off Game of Thrones and get cracking with Sketch. It really is a case of getting it wrong, wrong, wrong until one day you get it right. The only person that will stop you being a great ui or ux designer or great 'anything' is you.
